Born in 1983. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, received her Diploma in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Rodziński in 2009.
The laureate of scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Cracow City Artistic Stipend, the Anna Maria Siemieńska Grazella Foundation Scholarship and the Prof. Janina Kraupe-Świderska Scholarship.
The artist was a winner of the Grand Prix in the Eibisch Award Competition, the 3rd Prize of the
11. Polish Contemporary Drawing Triennale Lubaczów 2023. Awarded with a honorable mention in the 7. International Picture Biennale ‘Quadro Art’ in 2021 as well as in the 2. and 3. Polish Nationwide Biennial of Drawing ‘Time – Movement – Spece’ and 4. Nationwide Painting Biennale Architectural Landscape 2022. The artist was a finalist in the STRABAG Artaward International 2022 competition and multiple national competitions, among others: the Promotions 2009. 19th National Young Painters’ Review, the Leon Wyczółkowski Painting Competition in 2013 and 2019, the 42. Painting Biennial Bielska Jesień 2015.
Marta Kawiorska expands her artistic practice with curatorial activity (‘Still life?’ exhibition in Rostworowski Gallery, Cracow in 2010; ‘Pustostan’ exhibition in Kąt Kultury, Cracow in 2020 / within Cracow Art Week KRAKERS; ‘less / more’, Pryzmat Gallery, Cracow). She is artistically active in the fields of painting, drawing, collage. Lives and works in Cracow, Poland.
